As a Projector, I’ve known for a long time that I need plenty of rest, alone time, and moments to recharge—but knowing and doing are two different things. Sometimes I can’t help but push myself a little too hard—pushing myself to finish just one more thing or squeezing a bit more into an already full day (hello defined Root centre!) 😅

But being here, on holiday in New South Wales, I’m reminded that true rest isn’t indulgent—it’s productive. It’s the fuel that makes everything else possible.

Even nature knows this rhythm: the tides ebb and flow, the seasons change, and the moon cycles through its phases. Without these pauses, there would be no growth 🌿🌸

Rest doesn’t just recharge us physically—it gives us the space to reflect. When we stop ‘doing’ for a moment, we gain the perspective we need to see where we’re heading and how we can move forward with more clarity and purpose. Without that time to reflect, we can end up pouring energy into things that don’t serve us.

As Carl Jung said, ‘Without reflection, we go blindly on our way, creating more unintended consequences, and failing to achieve anything useful.’

This space for reflection reminds me of why rest is so essential—it allows us to reconnect with our intuition and sense of purpose. When we’re always in ‘doing’ mode, we lose sight of what we’re really working for.

Rest brings me back to alignment, to the things that truly matter, and to the kind of clarity that no amount of effort can force.

So, here’s your reminder: Rest isn’t weakness. Rest is what makes strength—and reflection—possible 🤍

New Year, New Me.

It’s a phrase we hear everywhere at this time of year, but it’s never really sat well with me. It can feel like it’s saying we need to change or become someone entirely different, and I’ve never believed that’s the answer.

Growing up, there were times I compared myself to others—wishing I could be more like them in certain ways. I also saw so many people around me doing the same, feeling like they needed to fit into someone else’s version of ‘better.’

When I discovered Human Design, it completely shifted my perspective. Instead of aspiring to be more like someone else, it taught me to embrace the unique way I’m wired.

It’s about celebrating what makes us different, not trying to blend in or measure up to others. That’s what I love most about it—it’s a permission slip to fully be yourself 🤍

So as we step into 2025, let’s reframe the idea of ‘New Year, New Me.’

Most of the time, I know exactly what the right decision is for myself in the moment, thanks to my Splenic Authority and my awareness of it 🤎

But I’m not perfect, and I’ve noticed the pattern: when something is a Splenic ‘yes’ or ‘no,’ but I wasn’t present and get stuck in my head, trying to think my way to an answer.

Eventually, though, I always come back to my Authority—it just takes a little longer to get there!

When we make decisions from our intuition (our Authority), we can trust it’s the right one—even when it doesn’t make rational sense (which it often won’t!). Our body’s wisdom knows what our mind can’t comprehend.

But learning to trust that inner guidance is a daily practice, a constant work in progress. Like training a muscle, we have to strengthen our ability to hear that inner voice and let it rise above the noise of our conditioning.

Next time you’re faced with a big decision, start by asking yourself the right questions based on the slide associated with your Authority.

Most of the time, I know exactly what the right decision is for myself in the moment, thanks to my Splenic Authority and my awareness of it 🤎

But I’m not perfect, and I’ve noticed the pattern: when something is a Splenic ‘yes’ or ‘no,’ but I wasn’t present and get stuck in my head, trying to think my way to an answer.

Eventually, though, I always come back to my Authority—it just takes a little longer to get there!

When we make decisions from our intuition (our Authority), we can trust it’s the right one—even when it doesn’t make rational sense (which it often won’t!). Our body’s wisdom knows what our mind can’t comprehend.

But learning to trust that inner guidance is a daily practice, a constant work in progress. Like training a muscle, we have to strengthen our ability to hear that inner voice and let it rise above the noise of our conditioning.

*PERFECTION*

It’s a word I grew up hearing a lot. Whether it was said outright or subtly implied, I was called “perfect” by parents, friends, teachers—everyone. And for so long, I felt like I had to live up to that standard. It became my identity.

Until I was about 20, I managed to keep the facade up, but beneath the surface, so much was bubbling.

When you won’t allow yourself to let go and be your true self, life has a way of forcing you to. One of my favourite quotes by Eckhart Tolle says, “Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness.” That’s exactly what happened to me.

Life handed me experiences that shattered my “perfect” image:
~ When my parents divorced at 21, it broke the illusion of the ideal family I’d clung to.
~ Struggling with acne on and off since 19 forced me to face my appearance-related insecurities. Your face is something you can’t hide.
~ In my mid-twenties, I went through years of not loving my body, which was a painful but necessary journey.

Even now, life reminds me that I’m not perfect.

Whether it’s something not going as planned or not living up to my own expectations, I keep being shown the same message: You’re not perfect, and you’re not meant to be.

In my Human Design, my sun gate (the core of who I am) is Gate 48. In its low expression, it’s the fear of inadequacy; in its high expression, it’s the gift of seeing worthiness—in myself, in others, and in the work I do. It’s so clear to me now how all these experiences have taught me to let go of perfectionism and remember my worth.

And that’s my purpose: to help you remember yours. You are so much more than the idea of “perfect.” Your worthiness isn’t tied to how you look, what you achieve, or whether you live up to some impossible standard. It’s about who you already are.

Let’s celebrate progress, not perfection. Because honestly, the beauty of life isn’t in being flawless—it’s in being real, no matter how ugly it feels ❤️

For many people, they feel like each year just races by. We often hear people say, “where did the year go?!” Life can move fast, and without intention, it’s easy to feel swept along in the current.

That’s why I pause every December to reflect on the year that’s passed and what I want for the year ahead. 💫💫

This year feels different for me. There’s a calm where there was once overwhelm, and I think it’s because I’ve been leaning into my Human Design. By letting go of the pressure to figure everything out, and trusting that small, aligned steps will take me where I’m meant to go.

For me, this year has been one of transformation and growth. I’ve thrown myself into new experiences—letting go of things that no longer served me, stepping into social media with more empowerment, and sharing my message through podcasts and workshops. These were things that used to terrify me, and honestly, they sometimes still do! 🙈 But leaning into my unique energy has given me the courage to take action despite the fear 🙏🏼🤍

Gratitude comes in waves; sometimes it’s easier than others depending on what’s going on in my life.

There have been moments when I’ve felt stuck, too focused on what I don’t have or what’s not going right to see all the good things already in front of me. But I’ve learned that even during those harder times, there’s always something to notice, something to appreciate—if I’m willing to pause and look for it 💛

Lately, gratitude has come more naturally to me. I’ve been taking the time to savour the little things—the warmth of the sun on my face during a walk, the comfort of getting cosy on my couch, the feeling of safety and beauty in my home.
